Our living room project was estimated to cost about $1400.00 if we had to pay someone to do it. By doing this project ourselves we saved a good deal of money and we are very pleased with the results. If you are thinking about overhauling a room in your house, I would encourage you to do it yourself. Even if you make mistakes(which we all do), you can go back and try again until you get it right. It takes me quite a bit longer to do something than it takes for someone who does it every day, but the money saved more than makes up for the inconvenience.

It would cost about $280.00 to get the furnace fixed(cannot give exact figure because they wanted $50.00 to show up). Talked to a heat and air man who said the fifty bucks was like a show up fee(everything else was extra). Cannot blame them for that, it cost so much more than people realize to run a small business. This fix was easy to do because we had no electrical problems. Also it is beneficial to all to understand that mechanical problems usually manifest themselves both visually and audibly(you can hear the problem and also see the problem if you look hard enough). Our problem was supposed to cost almost three hundred bucks but we fixed it ourselves for under $70.00.
